LIsten to this

We just think she is so adorable when she says "ut ohhh" Make sure you have the volume on.

A week of firsts!

On Tuesday, we discovered Rebecca has her first tooth! It is one of the center ones on the bottom!

Then, on Wednesday, when I went to pick her up from school, they said she was taking one or two steps forward to try to get toys. We tried to get her to walk unassisted all of Wednesday evening, but had no luck.

Today, when I went to pick her up she was definitely becoming a pro at walking. She is taking 3-4 steps forward then she will sit down. Josh and I both saw her do it tonight. Here is some video. Neither are great, but hope you enjoy!

Adventures in Eating

About a month ago, Rebecca was referred to a gastro specialist to try to figure out why she is so peitite. All of the doctors gave us the green light to feed her all the high calorie food she will eat. The good news is that she takes after both Josh and I in eating. From me, her favorite foods are fruit and yogurt. On Saturday, we went to whole foods and Rebecca just ate off the samples of fruit- cantaloupe, cherries (which are her new favorite) and pineapple. From Josh, she is a carnivore. She has been eating ham and hot dogs (cut up). Here are photos of her trying new foods- the brown is ice cream sandwich and the blue is a marshmellow candy.

Monkey Rebecca

These days you can't turn you back for a second-- this happened the first time when Josh was out of town last week and I was heating up my dinner on the stove top. I looked down and Rebecca grew a foot! We have scolded her when she does this, but just had to indulge her a bit to get a picture this weekend! Grandparents don't worry, Josh was standing right behind her the whole time in case she started falling.

Visit from Uncle Brian

Uncle Brian was in from Atlanta on a business trip Thursday. He was able to come over and join us for the afternoon and dinner and spend some time seeing Rebecca. We haven't seen him since Thanksgiving, so it was great to catch up with him face to face. Here are some pictures of the two of them playing. Thanks for making some time to visist and we all can't wait to see you on the 4th of July!!!!

11 months and Counting

Rebecca is officially 11 months old. Countdown to the first birthday has begun! She weighs 15lbs and 15oz. She is standing on her own and will take 1 step forward. We are waiting for her to walk and think she will be doing it any day now. Her favorite activity is reading books or having them read to her. When she wants you to read to her she just waves her book in the air and says "book" over and over again. She loves touch & feel books. Her other new thing is dropping items on the floor and then saying "ught ohhhh" all the time. She thinks it is quite funny...

Playing in my backyard

These are from this afternoon- Rebecca and I played in the backyard. She helped me pick some peaches from our peach tree and crawled around in the grass.

Standing on my own

Rebecca is "cruising" around from object to object these days and standig on her own for long periods of time. I tried to get some good video of it, but could never get anything great. Here are some pictures of her from today.

Happy Mother's Day

We had a great day today. We had lunch at the arboretum with Aunt Rachel, Ron and Grandma Mary Ann. After that, the three of us just hung out around the house and ran some errands. Here are some pictures from the arboretum. Happy Mother's day everyone!

New Camera

For our anniversary Josh got me a new camera that is super nice. Here are some pictures with the new camera.

Little Churchill

Rebecca loves chewing on pretzel rods. Good call Grandma Sue! Sometimes she will just suck one in her mouth like cigar- Josh says it reminds him of a baby (girl) Winston Churchill. Who, just happens to be his hero. Enjoy!

New Rebecca Photos

I haven't posted any photos recently. Mainly because the camera wasn't working due to someone we all know and love grabbing it with a handful of food. All is better now though. Here are some photos from Thursday and Friday. I worked from home today because of the flu craziness so Rebecca could have a long weekend away from all of her germy friends at school.
