10 Months Old

Rebecca turned 10 months old on Saturday. Her newest accomplishments are giving five, opening and shutting doors, and standing up on her own for 2-5 second periods without holding on to anything. Her vocabulary is getting bigger-- she says "mama" "dada" or "da" "car" and "book" Also, she is turning the pages of her books while saying the word book and making up other words to tell the story. She weighs 15 lbs and 2 oz as of this evening. She is drinking out of a sippy cup (still 3-4 bottles a day though) and she is preferring finger foods over us feeding her with a spoon. We can't believe she is about to be a year old!

Thanks for the great visit Grandma Sue!

Josh went to a CLE in Houston last week, so Grandma Sue came in for a girls long weekend! She came in town Wednesday and stayed until Sunday. She had lots of good Rebecca time. Grandma Sue taught her the incie wincie spider song, how to say "goldfish" (not kidding) and how to jump on the bed. Here are some photos of the two of them playing! We all miss you!!!!

Rebecca's Drinking Fountain

This is really funny. Rebecca had fun trying to take down gallons of water!

Happy Easter!!

We had a busy day planned, but Gramps, Mimi, and Grandma Mary Ann are all in New Orleans visiting new baby cousin John, so the three of us have just been hanging out and having a laid back Easter. We cooked up a storm and have tons of leftovers! Rebecca ate some ham (she LOVED it), green bean casserole and spinach dip.
Here are some pictures of Rebecca today in her Easter best with her Easter basket!
Thanks to everyone for the great cards and Easter goodies! Rebecca loves her Easter books from Grandma Chris (she likes the stuffed bunny) and Aunt Rachel. Gramps and Mimi got her an awesome bunny basket with her name on it. Her favorite part is the plastic grass which she pulls out piece by piece and waves around in the air!

Saturday

We had a REALLY laid back day on Saturday. Gramps and Mimi stopped by for lunch on their way to the airport and gave Rebecca her Easter basket. We ran some errands, but spent most of the day hanging around the house. The exciting news is that Rebecca is now a BIG Cousin. She has a little cousin that was born on Saturday- John Weaver. Congrats to Matt & Jocelyn and we can't wait to meet him!

Rebecca took some great naps, so she stayed up really late (ok, 8:15 which is really late for her) and played. Here are some pictures of her playing with her favorite toys!

In the Big Girl Tub

Rebecca has advanced beyond bathing on the kitchen counter. She doesn't like it as much as being in the kitchen (my guess is because she can't see the TV), but the clean up is much easier since we were having a flood in our kitchen every night! Mom's back is paying for it, but we are becoming a big girl!

Mystery Sickies

Rebecca has been under the weather for the past two weeks. She ran a super high fever for 4 days, so we needed to take her at the emergency clinic at Children's Hospital to have a bunch of tests run on her last weekend. Then all of last week she was vomiting & having diarrhea, so we were back at the doctors again. We are still waiting on the results from some tests, but she started being somewhat back to herself on Friday. Unfortunately, she has lost about a pound since she became sick (and the kiddo doesn't have any weight to spare).
We have just been resting all weekend trying to get her better. Below are some pictures of Rebecca playing on Friday after she was feeling better.

Sharing Pizza Crust

Rebecca has begun sharing her food with us! It is really cute.

Sorry for not "Blog-ing" lately

We have been really busy the past couple of weeks. We worked really hard to get the house ready to list, and as of last Friday, our house is officially on the market. You can check it out at-
http://www.daveperrymiller.com/details/335887.html

We have had about 10 people come check it out, but no offers yet. If you know anyone looking for a house, please pass it along.

Also, Rebecca and I threw a surprise party for Josh last weekend for his upcoming 30th birthday. He was REALLY surprised. I think he was glad to see everyone, but is totally ok with this being the only surprise party he ever gets!!!
